As Rose Petals Fall I Ask

As Luna abates the winter solstice emanates
with gentle radiance casting
crystalline brilliance to nights inclement residue.
Rose petals fall in tepid breeze as
winters calling holds back for one last dance,
daffodils and posies worthy of bouquets
sway to and fro.

Harmony and peace abide this picturesque
moment as if knowing time
was coming to an end and true seasonal change
would rule the land. One could find
them selves rapt in awe, poised in wonderment,
celebrating such a momentous theme
inspirational in magnitude.

What captivating influence these earthy gifts
have when given the opportunity
to penetrate deeply with powers only nature
can provide, promoting tranquillity’s
healing powers to a weary soul. We as humans
fail to remember the power of
nature when capsized in our own limited self.

I merely rapt in “awe” poised in “wonderment”
watching rose petals fall, ask myself
why do I let the love for life pass by when at
this moment “seeing” such beauty so
freely given and am asked “nothing” in return
except to be merely thankful!

This is a repost, I felt the need to share something but the brain seems to be having
a hard time putting something new together, hopefully soon.

(smiles) Oh Ellen, it's so great to see you aagin gracing these boards, your lovely words have been missed so very much! (big hugggssssss) The most beautiful things always shine in nature and the simplest things, and if only we can feel the love of it all, we can feel so much more joy in the world and in our hearts! (sigh) BRAVO!!! We all love you so much, sweet Ellen! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ellen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Age mellows all, Cerenity, and certainly adds beauty to words once new...enjoyed your "old" work much...look forward to new or more old, either will work.

I'm certainly happy that you reposted this wonderful work.  It is a gift from God.  Nature is so beneficial to us.  The smell of changing seasons seems to come to mind as I contemplate your words..  Thank You so much.  Roger
