**A rewrite of an oldie.
*
*
Bright sheen, cool moon,
lies frigid on white hill,
the most brilliant star shivers.
Freezing mists blanket sleepy willows
as white pines curl to the north.

Low hoot of the barn owl echos,
moodily through the barren expanse,
sheltering her young under warped rafter.
Begging mercy from the chill,
sustaining warmth with dry feathers,
she tutors their play.

The horizon, whitewashed with sun,
strikes gold.

Music, perfectly pitched,
Caresses the harshest curve.

What a great image of the barn owl sheltering her owlets against the chilling cold. Thank you for sharing this!

Midnitesun, when I was young, I watched an owl with her owlets while they were perched in the oak tree outside my bedroom window under the glow of a full moon. A little nostalgia I was happy to pass on. Thank you!

You give a vision, wonderfully done, the reader can easily see what you lovely words desribe.

I'm glad to know my words are approachable, almost tangible, and not just silly words.

Thank you for enjoying the scene.

*sigh* absolutely stunning. I saw a vision of a cold winter morn with the very frost freezing in the air creating a frozen cloud and then the heat of the sun breaks through with golden warmth. *sigh* dazzling. I love it. **hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
