There is sadness here while trying to hold my lights.
Winter comes stealthily stealing me.
'Tis not the winter weather outside that seeks to quell my smile
but the inside freeze of dispair that covers my soul.
All around me there are answers that I am too weary to seek
and all around me, they say God points his finger at me
but I am too poor in voice to answer
too poor in hope to keep faith so long ago trembling.
I am past anger today.
I'm just sitting here feeling along with my own pain
the cold depression of other weary lights.
When I want to stop I have to run.
When I want to cease breathing I have to take air in gulps.
When I want to lie down I have to stand,
and when I want to cry I have to smile
and when I want to give in
I have to cling to this small pinpoint of hope
and exist
until I can feel again.

Your storm of assumption feeds anger I am calm enough to hold inside. Don't pretend to know me if you've never put stretched out your heart with since

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Jennifer, I can feel your sorrow through your words, this is so sad and I couldn't help but cry thinking about you! (sad sigh) Always listen to your loving golden heart, sweet friend, and you will find Christmas in your heart and feel great warmth and hope for He always listens to our hearts and His love echoes through every heartbeat, even through the winter. (sad sigh) So sad but beautiful, sweet friend, my heart is always with you! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet Jennifer! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jenn, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

I can relate to those words, the chill went right through me. I enjoyed reading your poem.

There is always hope, my friend.  Don't you doubt it, but sometimes it's up to us to pick ourselves up by the seat of our pants and go find it.  You take care.  Nicely penned!

Yes, I can relate to this too.  It's hard to be inspired when you're depressed.  Good work.
