Left Behind

Along the road of hearts entwined
I seem to never find beloved designed
by Cupid's bow for only me
alas, I'm cast to misery
~
Faith's fool, I pray to heaven above
to mystic moon, to send me a love
one that's defined by my soul's very voice
one that's destiny's perfect choice
~
Still, the sky and moon are not alligned
it seems a kismet kind I'll never find
a soulmate who knows of rapture refined
one that is strong to stand the test of time
~
Oh, night of butter toffee stars
why do you mock me from afar?
have you not loved, have you not felt?
the hand of jokers I've been dealt?
~
Hopes erase as dreams unwind,
sorrow screams within my mind,
will romancing and dancing set me free?
will a beautiful kiss ever taste me?
~
I gaze at nature's grandest of shows
seeing lovers unfold in petals of rose
like a feather on the wind, they shall be
akin with timeless reverie
laughing through days on sigh's amaze
on promises, true, not meant for me
~
Even Spring is cold when you're alone
pricked by thorns that cut to the bone
everything has it's purpose...it's season, I know
but, why must I die when everyone grows?
~
Why must love be stripped away when shown
to be dangled in dreams then set to stone?
Why breathe when passion has no home?
Accepting that any chance of amore has flown
~
Along the trail of hearts entwined
in weeping walk to truth, unkind
it seems peace of mind
I'll never find
just defeat and despair to pollute the air
with the pain of forever being left behind

(sad sigh) Oh Melissa, I know just how you feel, for I always feel like a fool too when I dream of love and wake up knowing it was too good to be true. (big hugggssssss)  But I also know deep down, with all my heart, that He is preparing all our loves for our hearts, and He will give us all eternal happiness! (sigh) Always believe in yourself, sweet friend, for the perfect love of your life will come to you and give you heaven forever! (sigh) Spring will blossom in your loving heart, sweet friend, I believe in you! (sigh) We all love you so much, sweet Melissa! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet honeybee, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Melissa this is a fabulous piece of writing, but never say never love. I am proof that love comes again,   Truly this is an utterly wonderful write, and you will find it again. Love will come calling just when you think you'll never see it again. Trust me I do know.

This is heart wrenchingly beautiful Melissa. But, your poetry always leaves me in awe of your talent. May the new year bring new love to fill your heart and pen.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

"night of butter toffee stars. . . "

that's the kind of imagery that makes you one of my favorites my friend. . . well done. . . and heartwrenchingly so. . .

Ah sweet Melissa..you are in for it now! Know why? Cause just when we give up and give in to the Will of God...that's when things start to happen, lovely things!!!Just you watch, and i want to be one of the first to know!! Hugs, Ellie

missy,

you have to stop writing
these heartwrenchers!
once again, you've blown
me away with your expression
and depth...
smile!, it will get better

Ah Melissa, you know this is the story of my life.
"Why must love be stripped away when shown
to be dangled in dreams then set to stone?
Why breathe when passion has no home?
Accepting that any chance of amore has flown"
These are the questions I ask every day. Beautifully done, my friend

Melissa, this is a wonderful write. Love will come your way. I've always heard that there is someone out there for everyone. When you least expect it, it will come to you.
