I Know A Winner When I See One

I posted a little challenge
and you all rose to the 'inspire'
Filled the pages blue
with such poetic desire~

I've thoroughly enjoyed
the poetry from your wells of ink
But, pick the winners, I said I would,
and now I've done just that
I think~

For each of you I wish
to thank you for the chance
to get more than I've given
in truly inspired poetic dance~

You've filled the poetic parchment
with singing of your songs ...
Now it's time to award the prizes
I promised all along~

For each of you a prize
from the hearts of poet friends ...
Winners all ... with smiles galore
each reply a godsend~

In no particular order
I announce the judges' choices
With hugs of admiration
from this heart that wants to share
an autographed copy of Passions book of Voices ~

Marge, you have chosen well. And I love it that the Passions poetry will be spread across the Seas, as Love should be.

This was NOT an easy task for you, I know, because I watched the poets pen away, and quite a job they did!!!

Margie girl darling sister of my heart, wonderful choices all. I loved each one of them I read.

This was a very hard choice for you I could never have done it You are a fabulous poet of inspiration and delight. I knew bribery and corruption wouldn't work Because if they had of done I'd have tried it. I did think about it darling girl but you know I'm only playing really

Im glad you posted the links to the winners so that I-we could catch them...with my slowly dying computer making it so hard to keep up and the holiday hustle taking me away from here...there was no way to be able to read them all...EXCEPT FOR YOU--judge extraordinare

I missed many of the poems as it was a busy time for me and I wasn't able to get here much in the last week or two. Marge, I think you did a great job inspiring all the lovely poetry. I plan to catch up on reading them over the xmas holidays. Congratulations to everyone who participated.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Marge, this was an absolutely delightful contest, and it brought forth such incredible writing for so many. I cannot imagine the difficulty you must have had in choosing! What a wonderful gift of poetry to receive, both in the prize, and in the treasures this inspired all to write. I believe that "we", as the readers ... were the true winners!
