The tree was lit with a few presents around.
The children just sat there not making a sound.

They knew if they were good all they ask for would come true.
So being quiet and good they knew they could do.

Each child with their own special dream
Billy just wanted a new coat it seemed.

Christy wanted a new doll to hold.
To help keep her warm when she got cold.

Timmy wanted new pants to wear.
His other pants had gotten a very big tear.

Little Lillian who never would talk.
She had ask Santa to help her walk.

Then there was Tommy sitting all alone.
He asked Santa to find him a home.

The children were waiting for Christmas day.
Santa wouldn`t let them down there was no way.

On Christmas day when the children got up.
There sat Santa with his coffee cup.

Santa told the children some things were hard to do.
But there is a couple here who would like to meet you.

The couple looked at the children and then they knew.
All the children would be theirs not just one or two.

Then all of a sudden a sound was heard.
But it was just Santa leaving with Rudolf leading the reindeer herd.

As the children all got in the van ready to go.
Little Lillian looked toward the sky and said I love you so.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

Juanita

Juanita darling girl, you know that i get all tearful when there's something like this. Good grief, do you like my face wearing tearstains? I know it's a ploy to keep me away from your Stevie, (But Juanita darling girl I've promised I won't hurt him too much) Oh very well then since it's you and I love you sister mine, I won't harm a hair on his head. It's a good job Roger doesn't have anyone protecting him, otherwise I'd be dead in the water.

Wonderful writing darling girl utterly utterly wonderful.

I love this even though it made me blub.

A beautiful Christmas poem, Juanita...
It really captures just the right spirit, not the commercialism which we have come to know as Christmas.
This is the real Christmas...as it was meant to be.
