would you rather not be a kite?

to be smothered by delight
for many happy moments
and be taught the trick
to be airborne the next?

soaring high and far
into the crystal clear sky
when a surge of wind
is all that it takes
to carry you away
to those majestic heights
of awesome inspire

and when your flight ends
like all beautiful dreams
you are cut loose,
free to flutter
free to float

and you may drift,
yet not without direction
for you would be in that
slow vertical descend
yet with your own
latitude

gliding,
teasing the wind -
however merciless he be --
one who believes that he can
toss you around
furiously!

and then you may drift
until finally, you touch
down, into the waiting arms
of a tree
.
.
.

would you rather not be that kite?

.
.
.
and then
there will always be
that brave young boy
wearing a 'No Fear' T-shirt
who would climb up the tree
to get you back
from the grip of
the tree

and then
the boy will carry you home
while you are resting like
a baby in sweet repose,
to dream another dream,
in his endearing arms of love
whistling a lullaby from between
his lips!

a music of what is pure
joy

would you rather not be that kite?

who gets to fly high into the sky,
yet is quite connected to
the most caring arms
imaginable

I think I would

now, its your turn to

Think!

------

firstly, thanks for coming by.

this is in fact nothing-inspired...
I was disturbed by something at work and screamed in my head... "Yikes!!! I want to be a kite and fly away from here!!!" and scribbling this one furiously
...

Regards to all of you,
sudhir

Sudhir~
In my most stressful moments ...
I retreat to the meadow-of-my-mind and fly kites~
The magic pull-of-the-wind on my strings-of-stress
lifts me to a level of calm serenity, until I am able to touch down ... hopefully~

'then you may drift
until finally, you touch
down, into the waiting arms'

Oh ... my friend, I sooooo understand this one~
Thanks for sharing it with me~
*Hugs*

BRAVO!!!! But it is an inspired poem, Sadhir, for is not the vision and feel of it perfect. Very well done. Somedays I too wish I could fly away with the freedom of a kite but I usually have myself flying on dragon's back.   **hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Very nice poem, but I think I’d rather be a bird than a kite.  No strings, no binding, and able to fly over the trees without getting tangled.  It’s been a long time since I flew a kite, thanks for the refreshing of memories.

Thank you so much, my dear friend, Marge... Hugs to you too

Startime, thanks so very much for your kind words... hugs to you

Bill, Welcome to Passions... yes, a bird, that is also great... but remember a bird is also bound by its nest, and nestlings... birds can fly into the sky, but they also return home to warmth ... it is almost the same feeling, I think... thank you so much for coming by...

Regards to all,
Sudhir

(sigh) Oh my gosh, this had me dreaming, it's sooooooo whimsically beautiful! (smiles) God Bless You, sweet friend, I too wish I could soar free in my dreams and embrace the heavens and repose gently on Eden's grass. (sigh) Your lovely words always paint harmony and angelic music, I love it!!! (kiss on cheek) How wonderful it would be if I could be a butterfly and fliiter across Mother Nature's paradise! We all love you so much, sweet friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sudhir, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
