Sitting quietly in her rocking chair.
Growing old alone just doesn't seem fair.
Lost memories come to mind, she sadly cries.
Then she silently wipes the tears from her eyes.

It's now so hard for her to think clear,
Of all the memories she still holds dear.
Afraid and alone she feels lost and confused.
She struggles to fight it, but it is no use.

She seems to have forgotten who she used to be.
So sad are the eyes of the old and the lonely.
She needs someone who will understand.
Someone to visit and hold her hand.

So if you have some extra time to spare,
Visit the elderly and show you care.
A few kind words would mean so much
To the lonely one who's heart you touched.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Eloise, I know just how you feel, for every weekday when I'm in school I go next door to my local assisted living community and help for 10:00 services for the elderly, including Bible sessions, art, and Cream Of The Crop dances. (sad sigh) I also talk with many of the elderly there and make them feel loved and welcomed and let them know they are never alone and loved by many. (sad sigh) It breaks my heart to see so many people leave the elderly alone and disrespect them, for they should always be loved. (sad sigh) My heart goes out to them all, sweet friend, and I too join you in your prayers and will continue to share my love to all. (sigh) God Bless You, sweet Eloise, we all love you so very much! (kiss on cheek) You are a true angel of thes epages! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Eloise, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Sound advice and it’s something that is good for both the one visited and the person that visits.  Both come form it enriched.  You put this so well, I had to read it twice.
