A Poet’s Vision

I came here a novice in the art of the pen
I read in awe as I browsed your creations
Addiction to the blue pages quickly set in
As your poetry gave to me many sensations

I learned that a poet sees different than the rest
As I read from one style and then on to the next
I soon learned that Passions is simply the best
As I read the poems of many in wonderous text

From what I have learned from every one of you
I will forever hold dearly each day as I awake
I have learned to see as I poet in these pages of blue
My promise to you is this gift I will never forsake

Some free-verse below will show you how I now see
As your pennings have given me a much better sight
Thanks to you all for the wonderments of your poetry
I will forever dream in color as I rest my eyes at night

~~~*~~~
When others see a pine cut for the holidays
A poet sees...
Burst of aromatic fingers tickling the air with their touch
When others see snow on the ground
A poet sees...
Infinity’s portion of ice crystals embraced in huddling masses
When others see a nativity scene
A poet sees...
Porcelain figurines gracing the simplicity of a worn down cresche
When others see an ornament on a tree
A poet sees...
Adorned orbs of glass glistening under the kisses of a hundred lights
When others see an heirloom treetop
A poet sees...
Decades of photographs encased in the memories of many cherished times
When others see an icycle
A poet sees...
Spears of frozen tears gracing us from the saddened reaches of the heavens
When others simply fall in love
A poet begins…
Waltzing across the billows of the heaven’s amongst the symphony of the stars leading to the gateways of the heart entwined in the braidings of rainbows and butterfly wings resting on the petals of the rose kissing the morning dew.
*Thank you all for the wonderful works you share with us here and even more thanks for the wonderful replies and friendships that I have been blessed with because of your beautiful hearts.  May the poet in all of you forever find your pen full of ink and your muse(s) burning the midnight oil.
I wish I could be in here more but I do have my elves to at least read me poems now and then on
the phone.  One helped me with this one. LOL
Happy Holidays from this most blessed cowboy!!!  May the season bring you the love and happiness that you have all given me and much much more.
Welcome home, Cowboy.  Just in time for Christmas!  Good thing, we didn't want to have to send the Posse out!
Words dancing on rainbows and moonbeams, thoughts blowing freely about on snowflakes and golden rays of sunshine, magical chants and romance flowing over blue oceans and skies...this is Passions. Thank you for generously sharing your visions.
Well the "elf" wants to know  when your gonna write the sequal to this...
An Aquarians Vision    (hehe)
And I can testify to the proof that seeing the world thru your eyes is indeed a gift.
You already know how your vision grants me sight...moths are blinded by the light you know
Beautiful images MC...your love of nature always shines thru in your poetry...as does
your natural born talent.
Now pay up...the elf is on overtime  LOL
mothy me
Its not like you to say sorry,
I was waitin on a different story.
This time I'm mistaken ...
for handing you a heart worth breaking.
You may have come here a novice... but you quickly became a much-admired, unsurpassed master of verse... painting with words to share your remarkable vision. To say we enjoy seeing through your eyes is an understatement... we do so appreciate the gifts your poems always give.
Merry Christmas, cowboy... I hope it's the best one ever for you and that the new year fills your life to overflowing with happiness.
