“Would you kiss me, m‘Lord?”

“Lass, what are ye doing in my bedchamber?
Ye must go before the maid takes number of the guest,
I cannot be found with thee here..alone!”

“But, m’Lord,  I have never been kissed and I so want to learn.”

“Sweet God in heaven, lass, have ye no shame?
I cannot take advantage of a raven haired beauty such as thyself?
Thou art a bonny sight, indeed and I am honored by thy innocence...but
what do ye mean ye have not tasted of a man’s lips?
This cannot be!”

“Ah, but it’s true, I have wandered these halls for
years, lost, alone and languishing with only my dreams
to sustain me....sigh...’tis is a sad life for a lass such as myself.”

“Come closer, lass, let me gaze into these eyes for I cannot
believe ye breath speak truth!”

“Aye, a bloody King’s ransom if I lie!   I speak the truth, m'Lord,”

“The lass displays a bit of temperment!
This is a most delicious invitation and by me Lord’s favor
I have done nothing to earn such an honor."

“Nay, m’Lord,  it is I who am honored.”

“By all that is holy, one kiss would nigh be sustaining for me”

“Please, m’Lord, one kiss and I shall take my leave.”

“Sweet lass, one kiss, and I shall take thee.”

Very well done. Sounds as if someone will become a great favorite of her Lord.

I love this. It has a mischievious innocence about it...and I love how you present the struggle of the man.

Your storm of assumption feeds anger I am calm enough to hold inside. Don't pretend to know me if you've never put stretched out your heart with since

This is a fun poem.  I like the progression.  And with tongue in cheek (no pun intended *S*)  wonder if he will faulter.

Oh how I do love the ways of old, with
maidens fair in search of love.....Need
we a Knight to pleasure the maiden?

Nicely written...much enjoyed this...I am
sure this maiden will not wander the halls
for long.
