     “MOUNTAINS RISING”
                    by

Snow covered mountains rising,
all the way, to the cloudy blue sky…
Down to the ocean’s waters,
the place, where we said goodbye…

It was a good run while it lasted,
you and I had a really great time…
But it just wasn’t meant to be,
together, we just couldn’t rhyme…

Now I sit here and contemplate,
if you only would have done this…
Or if I would have done that,
perhaps things wouldn’t be amiss…

So I stare at these mountains rising,
and watch the clouds move in…
Almost the same thing that happened,
when we both knew, we couldn’t win…

I tell you, it breaks my heart when something just isn't meant to be., but
sometimes it is not.

to try is to know my friend. . . but, it still hurts. . .

you know how I feel about this one. . .

The picture you painted is beautiful and  the clouds hide only the mountains not your lost love.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Bill, this poem made me cry, this is so very sad and my heart goes out to you. (sigh) It must be so hard to let go of love and wonder what could have been done, for you deserve eternal happiness and the kind of love you can feel for and reason with always! (big hugggsssss) I pray with all my heart you find this kind of love very soon, sweet friend! (sad sigh) We all love you so much, sweet friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bill, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

We can always reflect and wonder what if, but do we ever find the answers, or just more questions?

A very important thing, rhyming with your loved one...in some ways, it goes beyond words, but to movement, thought, timing, being in sync...

well done, Sir...

Great imagery Bill!  Seems you are doing a lot of soul searching here.  Very well described feelings of love and loss.
