It was the day, of Christmas Eve,
St. Nick's red sleigh, all set to leave,
Filled to the brim, with Christmas toys,
To give to all, good girls and boys.
Reindeer were resting, for their long flight,
Around the world that very night,
Rudolph was shining, his nose to glowing,
So through the dark, he could be showing,
All elves were napping, their work now done,
That is all elves, except for one,
Out in the snow, played wee-est elf,
Was all alone, played by himself.
The whole year long, wee elf had worked,
Never, not once, had wee elf shirked,
Just one time a year, can wee elf play,
From Christmas Eve, to New Year's Day,
Then back to work, work til you drop,
Santa don't run, no union shop.
But I digress, as back we go,
To wee elf playing, out in the snow.
Help me! Help me! a voice so small,
Wee elf couldn't, hear hardly at all.
Wee elf looked high, wee elf looked low,
Then wee elf saw, stuck in the snow,
A girl so tiny, with wings of gold,
Trapped in a snowbank, shivering with cold,
Wee elf dug hard, wee elf dug fast,
Elf finally got, girl free at last.
Elf took off his coat, gave it to her,
Soon girl got warm, all snug in coat's fur.
Elf introduced, to girl, himself,
Everyone calls me, the wee-est elf.
Wee girl replied, I think you're swell,
And by the way, I'm Tinkerbell,
To Never-neverland, I had been going,
When I got lost, in all the snowing,
How can I ever, thank you for this?
Then Tinkerbell, gave elf a kiss.
Reached in her bag, pulled out fairy dust,
I have to go, I really must,
I'll miss you wee elf, good-bye, here I go,
Then Tinkerbelle flew, off in the snow,
Back at North Pole, Santa was fretting,
Where is wee elf? Dark it was getting.
Elf's always here, at start of my flight,
To wish me good luck, on this special night,
I best be going, I really must go,
There comes wee elf, across fallen snow,
Waving and yelling, with all his wee might,
Merry Christmas Santa, have a safe flight!
Then Santa went flying, wee elf went to bed,
With visions of Tinkerbelle, in his wee head,
Under wee covers, in jama's bright red,
To his wee self, here's what elf said,
I didn't think, I ever would see,
Anyone else, as wee as wee me.
To top it off, as cute as a bug,
Off then to dreamland, wee fairy to hug.
Wee Christmas to all, and to all a wee night.
