A Phantom's Love

Hear the rhythm of my heart beat
as notes of passion play
This song that's filled with lover's heat
growing from day to day

See the bright sparkle in my eyes
a light inspired by you
Unleash the thoughts that will arise
desire you can't subdue

Taste my lips dipped in reddest wine
a timeless nectar, sweet
Upon passion ripe fruit we'll dine
food made for the elite

Touch flesh to feel the burning flame
a fire that will consume
This need for you that will proclaim
feelings shared I presume

A phantom's love I will pursue
in fantasy and dream
Yet each morning when I bid adieu
my eyes retain their gleam

This is a well written piece that sparkles with the poets talents of expression. It take the wine and makes it intoxicate you in the needs of feeding the emotions raised.

Karen, this is so romantic.I envy people who can write romantic poems.I guess I was just meant to do silly poems and poems about children
