The Shores of Alone

Based on a strange dream I had this morning

Late at night, the meeting set
all the money in small bills
she drives slowly to forget
what she's thinking, what she will.

She heard of him on Friday
and she knew she had to call
She had to reach him some way
this dream seller of them all.

She came upon the building
where she had been told to come
with hope within her ringing
she prayed she had found the one.

He claimed to have it all here
the happiness she did seek
cessation of all her fears
giving strength, no longer weak.

She shyly looked up at him
and offered up all her cash
"It's true, you have it here then?
That unavailable stash?"

Smiled at her hesitation
as he passed to her a jar
"there are your answers within
only take, you shall go far."

"Open up and drink it now
its filled with pure oxygen
and you need not ask me how
I don't care where you have been."

"The second jar holds true love
but this one can cost much more
Be sure it's what you dream of
such a man that you adore."

"And last, but most important
this blue one holds happiness
a small amount I'll decant
to bestow your dearest wish."

Placing them in shaking hands
he quietly turned away
faded back to other lands
until called another day..

cat,

Aren't all dreams 'strange'?  Mine are.
I only wish I could remember more of them in this detail so I could get them written down.  Most evaporate like some whisp of fog as I try desperately to get a grasp .
It is such a fascinating aspect of the human condition.
Hope to see more of these from you.
