Come Take My Hand

by Michael

As shadows run with sunlight’s fall,
we reach and take each other’s hand.
We walk the valleys of your home,
or sit on dunes of ocean sand.

When wind is right, across the miles,
comes flower’s scent upon the air.
I squeeze your hand more tightly then
to let you know how much I care.

We formed a bond that ever grows.
Each word we speak is honesty.
Your words, your verse, are treasures kept.
No one to ever see, but me.

Within you, passion builds, as mine,
another life, another time.
Your hand is all I’ll ever know.
Our feelings must be kept in rhyme.

First stars appear, I own the night
and you are keeper of the day.
We made a promise, yes, a pledge,
that some words we will never say.

So, come with me, my gentle one.
Tonight we’ll walk along the beach.
You’ll learn from me and I, from you.
So many lessons we’ve to teach.

I’ll be here should you need a smile,
or simply want to say, hello.
Each time I’ll reach and take your hand.
Sometimes, so hard, to let it go.

Michael, this IS glorious, it's so, so......THIS is romantic. I like this feeling better than you getting caught in the restaurant

Well done, Michael.  I wonder if all the other poets have connected our first name, Michael, with our inherent skills? Only, with you, it is REAL skill.  With me, it is attempted skill.  With Balladeer, it is an exception to the rule.  heh

ohh...Micheal! This is beautifully done, my friend. To have someone to walk the beach with. Ohh...were I to get that wish granted! I love this!

Your storm of assumption feeds anger I am calm enough to hold inside. Don't pretend to know me if you've never put stretched out your heart with since

Michael?  I didn't realize that was your name.  LOL!  Thank you much for the compliment and for reading.

Nancy,
That is made you feel any emotion is why we write, isn't it?  That is made you calm is a most lovely compliment and I thank you.    Hugs

Tara,
You DO have rhyming ability.  Do you forget your lovely sonnets?    Thank you, dear friend. (((hugs)))

Startime,

Regina,
You're so sweet, but you have me blushing.    Thank you much!

I'll walk the beach alone if I must, just to find the peace the ocean offers.  Thank you, my friend.   *hugs*
