The Bird of Politics

Intrigue weaves the nest
Woven fragile dust
O'er a hidden lust.

Nectar flows in jest
Of confusion sown
Where little is known.

Blinded are the best
Of the status quo
Of the mundane flow.

Promising a quest
And feigning the sane
While hiding inane

Beguiled by the zest
The sound of free and
Sing along with me.

We overfeed our vote.
To a bird turning goat.

Sigh.  This politico poem has me pondering the need of a government...that we only think is run by the people.  I was terribly upset by some of the news I heard last night, just when we think we've elected a leader, to find out that his friends are disrupting our economy...

no wonder I turn the news off, and Passions on....

Well done Sir...another one of those Keepers....

politicians, morticians, musicians...they are all just doing a job....some of them actually believe it is right

we just have to figure which one to listen to and which one to avoid..(of the three choices above)

dug the write..cool capture

Your wit, wisdom and ability to poetically hit the nail on the head just leaves me shaking my head and smiling at you
Me thinks we need to vote in POETS and make all the laws of the land rhyme

Ha...now theres a thought...
politicians having to have reason for their rhyme?
Of course even Dr Suess could rhyme *L*
As always me sweet Stinky..
YOUR rhymes are right on time

This reminded me of the bird of paradise and I'm still looking for that fool bird!

I read very little on politics, but with the way you write it I might actually understand politics some day!  Thanks Sey.
