Between the Lines

Freedom

Someone's hands around your neck,
choke life out, each time kissed.
The ties that bind, between mind pages,
such wasted love, to not be missed.

Each naked thought, held in reserve
of once upons, of future hold.
The ties that bind, between mind pages,
lost in failure, words of bold.

Heart controls the body's wants,
the mind is bound by sensual need.
Freedom rises, desires strength,
when mind decides more healthy feed.

"Harsh lessons learned", some final words,
I shall not fail, as some would say.
My words of past have bled their truth,
in freedom now, controlled my way.

A calmness sensed, no need of Time,
no calls of longing wished for sight.
Each passing day, anew begins,
in peaceful slumber, passed the night.

No mysts or reigns or lady's thoughts
no signal words to gloss a heart.
Time was stolen, "capture" lost
but freedoms back, from three year part.

Spells can never break the will,
the crone of old, nor sables touch.
Richness shall inherit soul,
of one whose life was sheltered much.

Words are words, their meanings hold
from eyes of blue, intensely lost.
Sadness lives among the dark,
where shadows hide to bear their cross.

Someday a piece of me will reach
that piece of you that binds those ties.
A memory ache will rise as moon
is full of thoughts to tear the eyes.

In peace, the two of us will know,
the world is more than one can give.
Today I'm free, not cast aside,
I'm bound, by heart of mine, to live.

Poetry evokes feeling right?  Want to know how I felt reading this?

Damn right you're not going to fail.  We are Warrior Women (heh heh, Startime said I was and now I pass it on to you!)

You don't have to prove yourself to anyone and you sure don't have to stop writing. I remember your early poetry. Gorgeous writing, and yes, we all go through a dark period, nothing wrong with that.
That's the beauty of finding out about ourselves and loving ourselves.

Others see it too.  Revenge solves nothing, grudges are a waste of time and bitterness makes your face wrinkle, best thing a lady can "prove" to herself is to have class.

This spells it out in spades!!!!!!!

May you enjoy your "Freedom" for a very long time to come.
