Here, Now, Forever

There we sat, just three in a car,
Atop the old steps of the museam of art.
Exchanging some words, we were fulfilled,
With night behind us so fun-filled,
The sun was beginning to rise,
Sending light and color upon the distant skies.
"Shine through this cold and distant sky",
You say to me with your silent eyes.
"What time is it now? Damn."
I will probably never see you again,
but I tell ya, I had a blast.
Smiles.
"Dude, I'm so tired."
Only hours ago we were living life as it ought to be lived, at total peace and harmony with everyone else around us.
Leaning against the cold brick wall, somewhere in the middle of Philadelphia.
Man, what a strange thing that sun is.
Smiles..
So many things I could have said and done,
and I for once, have no regrets,
"Do you have any more ciggarettes?"
Flash the morning message, someones out there.
Spellbinded with this new spirit of life.
Faith will pull us through.
"Anyone up for some coffee?"

Love is God. Love is war. Love is what your life is for.

From a guy who saw many sunrises after full nights I can say you made me feel those experiences all over again..even the type of conversation was right on. I can feel that air on my face right now and the cool of the night dissapating with the coming of the day, as we stood there, blurry-eyed, trying to get accostumed to the light...a lot of good flavor in this poem

I like the way this read too, it was real.

Yep, I can picture this

Bleary-eyed,
but satisfied!
You caught the moment, sanctified
