Today,
I'm scared
sometimes,
challenged
sometimes -
disturbed
by predictions

Those
prophecies
made by some
giants of time --
dead legends;
yet living
in so many
memoried cells,
charging

I've survived
the yesterdays
quite decently,
(I must add)
while tomorrow
throws its hands of
beckon
while the
tick-tock
carries on

Today,
the air around me
whispers those
'take me back
to yesterday'
sounds
in my ears
with that
perplexing
surround-
sound
effect

Like
haunting emanations
from a didgeridoo
echoing thoughts
of the living years

Today,
all I did was
to pick up a
wearing away
photograph
of young times
when the only haunting
sounds that could
cause scare
were the ones
emanating
from the buxom
teacher in my class,
particularly during
the surprise-quiz
days

'Stop dreaming and get on with it!'
she screamed
and I am back to living
today

!
thanks, Marge, for the trip down memory lane...

Wow! Very good Sudhir.
In the beginning of the poem you mentioned cell memory..something I just read a book about. I would love to discuss it with you.

Sudhir~

'tomorrow

So impressed am I by this thought ...
it keeps playing in my head~

Thank you for being inspired to walk through the meadow of your mind~
Wonderfully done, my friend~
