Revised:

Lovers Moon

Where is that moon, I used to know?
With butter yellow, afterglow?
That listened, to my every sigh?
Where has it gone, where does it lie?

That magic sphere, paramours fair
It shines I swear, but know not where?
How have the years, made me so blind?
Where is that moon, where is that mind?

That rare mystic, of alchemy?
That lovers freak, of revelry
The keeper of, my secret core
The golden treasured, lovers store.

That magic lanterns, bright of trance
That lovers light, that made us dance
The glory of, the flowers sigh
How did it dry, how did it die?

I swoon of why in search the moon
The boon is gone, it is high noon.

hey...ya made it! (first cup of coffee, smile) I loved the flow and the meter here--and I too have been looking for that elusive "magical" moon...she seems to be glaring a bit harsh these days. Beautiful poetry from a beautiful poet!

Well, I hear there is one heck of a moon over Miami?   *L*
Hey Sy babers....if its high noon...that means you and Randy are sleeping too late. LOL
This is such a perfect poem Stinky...
I adore the lovely imagery and the classic Sy internal rhymes, meter, wit & wisdom you have wrapped them up in. Even snuck in an alliteration or two for added pleasures

The moon has been comming up butter cream yellow for days now...its so cool..just like this poem and the poet who wrote it.
As usual you are right on time.

Seymour~

~Lover's moon
if you will - falling
from such a magic quill
Poet who in gaze of phase
writes in glow of loving still
Fall across my windowsill
in words of such desire
still lights the fire
lover's moon~

How you've inspired me~
Thank you, poet~
