The smiles and the laughter
Blonde hair and blue eyes
I really truly thought
You weren't like other guys
You were charming and sweet
And fun to be around too
Through the night I found myself
Falling in love with you
You asked me back to your place
And I thought that I could see
Through the night you'd found yourself
Falling in love with me
But gold always tarnishes
Flowers wilt and die
And very quickly I found out
You were an awful guy
You took my heart and broke it
You took advantage of me
When all I needed was your love
And some security
But I can rise above you
I don't need you any more
You were just a waste of time
See you later, there's the door

Serenity...That's exactly what I did! I'm not going to let a man get in my way!

Irish Rose... Thanks for the hug!

Mistletoe Angel... I've found the perfect love of my dreams, and he does make me unbelieveably happy.

Interloper... Probably wasn't gold. He was a bit of a cheapskate *lol*

Sodpossom... Thank you, I'm glad you liked it.

Marge... Thank you for the hugs. I'm really loving getting back into poetry.

Enchantress... A person like that deserves nothing but the boot! Thanks for reading.
Thank you all!
