said she never thought
she would get a tattoo
or let a strange man
touch her breast
in public

said so many thing have changed
since she got out of college
and started her own family
and learned what being a mother was
and a wife was

and what lonely was
some nights
when a strange man
with willing hands
touched her there
in her dreams

she asked if I had ever
seen a diamond
as big as the one on her hand
or driven a Jag like the blue one
on the curb
I didn't answer

and
she didn't want to know
she preferred
the compliments
about her skin
from a strange man

with willing hands.

Welcome to Passions!  Please check your E-mail for a special Greeting...

If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

Welcome, and what an interesting first post.
What a sad character this lady is, and so blinded by the glitter that the ugly truth cannot be seen.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Sunshine, Midnitesun and Kethry...thank you for your reviews and comments.

I agree the image is sad, some folks conform to what we feel the beholders desire.  She seemed like a lonely lady just jumping from one reconfigure to the next..
