The hills displayed
In shades of jade
So emerald in their hue
Can take me back
To love I lack
And things that I will do

And forests deep
Their secrets keep
In shadows dappled green
The forest shade
In dell and glade
Reminds me of love's scene

The emerald isle
On mossy stile
Leads me to start anew
As I climb up
I softly sup
On pleasure through and through

The land shows rape
Through colours grape
Where daffodils once dwelt
In frost so deep
Yet while I sleep
I know the frost will melt

In turquoise blue
The shades of you
Mingle green with pride
The shades of green
In which you're seen
Bring nature to my side

And for all time
The hues of lime
Can thrill me to the core
In paints of dill
The brook and hill
Can leave me wanting more

Life all around
In nature found
Beauty to soon be seen
And I shall toast
My lovely host
In many shades of green
