Once I had happy lips
which chatted away at
the mere sight of my
name

The hours passed like water
and the days like minutes
and with that inertia this
feeling grew

Now I saw your words as
mine and I took every one
to heart. Every compliment,
every sigh, every thank you

I touched your hand only
once and I felt the protection
of my soul the sturdy wall to
lean upon for life

What brings tears to my eyes
though is the way your feelings
were as fleeting as the time

You needed me for a while
as I need you

Now the need is gone
making a hideous hole in my wall
leaving this silence on
your part...

its so quiet...

It deafens...

And I wait...

Losing the support of one you needed and thought would be there is really hard. I think I see that hole in the wall. In fact, I know I've seen a hole like that before, and nothing seemed to cover it up for a very, very long time. Now I've discovered that writing about it helps close it up.
Here is a hug for whoever needs one.

Well, now that's not very nice of someone to do that to anyone!!!
Feelings are special gifts we give and should be treasured!!
