The events of September 11
Have made us all take stock
Do we really want to spend
The rest of our lives in hock?

The material things don't matter
There's something more precious we have to give
Love is the most priceless necessity
For without it we just cannot live

All around me I see people rushing
Spending their money on gifts galore
But have they really stopped to think
Of those who are needy and poor?

There is really only one gift
That I hope for this year
And that's for people to remember
The true meaning of Christmas cheer

Our lives go by so quickly
Sometimes we all seem to forget
That Christmas has much more meaning
Other than the amount of gifts we get

Imagine a world without money
If we only had our love to survive
Then we wouldn't see so much greed and hunger
And the goodness of humanity would thrive

So please don't bring me presents
All wrapped in a pretty bow
The simple three words 'I love you'
Would give my heart an inner glow

You can take your Christmas presents
And donate them to the poor
I can easily survive without them
I'd rather not have them anymore

The gift of human kindness
Does not even have a price
Just a simple show of affection
For me, would certainly suffice

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Sue, this is so very sad indeed to see vanity cherished over love itself! I just read a Time magazine article from Anna Quindlen called "Honestly...you shouldn't have", and it saddens me to see so many spend their money on gifts to try and keep the economy going but leave their families alone. (wipes tears) My heart goes out to us all, and I pray we all get close to our loved ones this Christmas, for all I want for Christmas is you and all my loving friends, a sight of my family around the Christmas tree with me, and some of my Grandma's delicious homemade fudge and Chex mix! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is sooooo touching and beautiful, I love you, sweet friend! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

You are absoluely right! We should concentrate on giving love to one another instead of reaching in our pockets for our money. Gifts dont mean as much as sharing love with your family and friends because without family and friends to love you there would be no gift-giving. Well said Sue!
Happy Holidays
