When I have taken my last run,
lost the skies warmed by brilliant sun,
fallen within that final dream.
finished searching and finished thought.
when ended my float in life’s stream,
all accomplished then brought for naught.

for you there’ll be another morn,
time to lounge upon fresh mowed lawn,
and time to ponder why life dies;
moments to feel the roses’ thorn,
understanding beauty’s disguise.

will the mysteries go unfound?
voices of truth just lost in sound?
stop your looking for things you crave.
when all the answers still abound?
Even though I’ve found my cold grave.

Nothing prepares us for disguise,
all possibilities will be;
even when hidden from your eyes
your vision becomes a vanity.
Times of change you must undergo,
only to receive death as prize
but only then the meaning know,
of life beneath the living skies.

Gloom
a little rough,
but it was suppose to be.

For Poet DeVine, thanks for the Challenge

Professor, you have painted many pictures for us to see with our hearts and minds.  And,oh, the many pictures we in turn can paint.  I liked this very much.

Ah, sir, you have met the challenge and made it your own. And I like it a little rough now and then..too much smoothness gets monotonous.

Prof...not even gonna comment on PdV's comment....but grinning like the madwoman I am...

YOU WIN!!! This is fabulous...there was an intimacy here, as there is in all of your work that makes the reader feel like you are writing for them only! Well done,  my friend....I'm keeping this one!
