Rhythms

This is the moment to ponder the grace
of the moons that have veiled and enfolded their face
in the blackness of shadows to a slither of light,
Then once again opened their radiance to night

This is the time to reflect on the tides
that flow outward to sea when the waning moon hides.
In the hour of her glory, the waters rush full
to capture her image on God’s rippled pool

This is the season to notice the worth
of each rhythm and pulse of the moon and the earth.
It is time to relinquish the power of strife,
for a new day has dawned in the course of a life

The flow of the waters are seasons we live.
When sorrow is waning and joys come to give
the gift of a radiant moon in its place,
it is time to reveal the allure of your face

A beautiful poem, Liz.  You write so exquisitely.  I will bless you this once and NOT reveal my face - lol.
