A Moment is a moment

Some times I sit a fence, of doldrums sense
Comparing the immense of world’s despair
Making pretense faces of mock suspense
Yet feeling nothing, nor do I care.

I watch the rank and stay in blank.
Ease and outflank the botch of be
There’s nothing new in nothings bank
But smell the water, air and sea.

There is nothing like a doldrums bind
It’s here I avoid the witness stand.
There is no justice to seek or find
I just float upon some timeless sand.

A moment is a moment true
For some will say the doldrums bend
But l insist it is a coup
Naught happens, where there’s no vend and

While waiting till the doldrums die
I offer you this butterfly.

I read somewhere can't remember where, that every moment is a poem yet to be written. This reminded me of that. I like this poem very, very much.

Seymour, This is great!

The doldrums, aye, they can indeed
Be a place to sow the seed
For there in doldrum's calm a'sea
Be time to muse your poetry

Sy

I have been there
seen that place
there a blank
instead of face
a vision waiting for the sure
a poet looking for the cure

You are as a Butterfly,
Riding on a Lilypad.

Martie,
I think we all have been there one time or another. *L*

JM,
Your butterfly rapsody has made a cone of cotton candy and my Randy just sits and stuffs himself. He has eaten himself into the doldrums. LOL Winkiewinkie

PoetriPrincess,
Could I ask for anything more?

Ghost,
A big thank you.

There is nothing like a doldrums bind

Isn't that the truth? *S* Stymied by the blues, bested by the down-and-out's. *S* I love this melancholy beauty, Seymour... well done!
