Once all of life was fresh and new
Dew-kissed as blossoms in the Spring;
A sentimental shakedown starts
With every tender thought of you.

The breathless whispers of the dawn
Across a field of lilacs spread;
We gaily danced without a care
Before the fading day was gone.

When sunlight falls upon the earth
Its gentle warmth caressing all,
Again my thoughts return to you,
To days of innocence and mirth.

It’s there with you I long to stay
Enfold me safely there again
Those best of times, enchanted times
Please take me back to yesterday.

Well now, look at you....this is absolutely delightful, and needs to rise back to the mountaintop to take its rightful place among the best of the best...
