Butterscotch Sky
By: Noah Eaton
12/2/01

Nightingales flock on my fence
I can see through daylight’s jalousie
Gypsy moths spread their chiffon wings against
This butterscotch sky in paisley
Illuminating His sunlight blanket
For our children to wake in glory
Reaching for the lemon-zinger morning star
Where rests the innocence of happy reveries

Cambric clouds of cotton candy soar in a child’s eyes
Where angels eloign upon jolly rancher rainbows
Debouching heavens chant with compassion
Glimpsing young spirits sipping from a jorum of gold
And His spirit soars on a gentle honey breeze
Crying in joy as every young spirit begins their emprise
I can now hear this sun speak
Glistening, reflecting the tears from a child’s eyes

Slowly I raise my hands
To this butterscotch sky
And I say, “Thank you, my Lord,
For teaching me how to fly!”

I forgot to mention your impressive vocabulary as well

said "it only hurts forever ... and all we have is time."

And our Sparrow will forever soar among the clouds gracing us with the beauty and romance of his singing in words that paint beautiful pictures. Very well done, Noah. **hugs**
