I was pale green with envy
'Twas so easy to see
For to Marge's poetry trash can
I did willfully flee.
I found hunter green splashes
blended on parchment of pink,
her words made me greener
but her trash didn't stink.
But that neon green thing that
we found in the fridge?
What was that all about?
That green thing with a ridge!
Since nothing on earth
could be that shade of green
Throw it out! I did shout
before it wakes up and turns mean!

Now the grass is always greener
on the other side of the street,
but then you already knew that'
didn't you my sweet?

Now those delicate spring green grasses
are a heavenly delight
'cept in Alaska winters they turn brown
then pure white overnight.
So that green stuff that flew by
in my driveway last night?
It came from neighbors trash can
that glows neon green at night.

Oh but the green scent of money?
I could sniff that all day,
just mix it around please
with some fresh cut green hay,
I could roll around happily
in both night and day.
But today I'm an odd mixture
of yellow and blue
for at home I do sit
with a nasty green flu,
and only bowls of green pea soup
under a green aurora will do.
It's a good thing these here Pips pages are blue,
'cuz I'll no doubt look like an olive
for another day or two.
And for contrasting colors
olive green on pale blue
will just have to make do.

I feel much better now. Writing really does heal!
thanks, Marge!

It's 6:30 CST and here I sit,
quietly chuckling to this version of wit, wondering where you come up with this, then...
looking askance at my own silent pen...

Here's a cyber {{{{hug}}}}, just for being SO clever!

Sunshine, a jolly Green good morning to you . Thanks for that hug. Your pen is silent? NO WAY!

Marge, LOL, green looks good on you. Thanks for the Rx and the hugs, and the delightful thread.

Why Seymour, you always give me green smiles with your poetry.

Startime, are those green giggles? Thanks.

Noah, I think green kisses might be good too.    Pucker up!

Martie, happy to share a green smile with you!

Titia, you always give me such nice mini-vacations, a green smile is the least I could give in return.

This is cute Kacy. And if you really have the flu, I hope you're feeling better soon.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Tracey, yes, it is for real. I'm trying to get rid of it, got any takers??? LOL Thanks for reading this green thing.

Lone Wolf, glad you stopped by for a little green visit.

Nancy, LOL,
I'll have to keep writing I guess,
to help both of us get rid of this mess.
