the grayness of this day
continues to hang over me
like a shroud that I
long to peer out from under

it's a blanket that does not warm
rather, it chills my heart
and comforts me with all the grace
of a slap of cold steel
across my back

and so, all I can really do
is pull it up over me again
and hope that
the chill warms me again

It sounds as if we sometimes have the same blankie! Oh well, time to go turn up the thermostat another notch, and dream of warm feet.

I like the way you compare your bad day to a blanket! Though now I cant feel the same way I do towards baby quilts. Its all good, though.

Hi Sven,

I do love the way you brought your message through in the way you did and I do hope when sky's clear you sing of love and life as only you can do with such deep devotion and feelings, sending big squishes to you.

Love, Cerenity

I think I've put that blanket over my head once or twice before.   You worded this poem wonderfully.

Don't let the grayness smother you my dear friend. It's only a cold and dreary day tomorrow the glimmers of love, spiritual peace and hope will warm you once again.
This weekend was supposed to be a good one for you, surely it's not grey now????

Simply sad but very well expressed, John. I love it.

Your storm of assumption feeds anger I am calm enough to hold inside. Don't pretend to know me if you've never put stretched out your heart with since
