Moon Sail

The moon was full and floating
in a sea of clouds so soft
it seemed it moved with swift breeze aft
across white splaying froth

A golden halo ‘round it formed
in holy light displayed
I knew it sailed with your delight
for the vision was angel made

If reverent sky beholds the dawn
and leaves me longing thus
for luna landscape ocean sky
and memories painful thrust

I understand this place was gleaned
of scarlet sundown’s cast
and ne'er will these eyes glimpse again
the moon sail night of last.

gawwwwwd I love this poem...
the title alone is pure poetry.
Wasnt that moon SPECTACULAR!!!!
I was on the porch several times last night watching its blue rise....
and at about 4 this morn I woke up and it had my whole room lit up through the blinds.
It was so bright it gave off a white-hot glow in the brisk Dec. air.

he said ... "dont cry" ...
said "it only hurts forever ... and all we have is time."
