I found myself
left behind
waving
almost thoughtlessly
until I saw
his face distraught
between his fingers
stress-relief
rear window
tears
down dirty cheek
drown his face
backwards
in his safety seat
with each spin of wheel
I felt the agony of "feel"
I felt the leaving of his soul
each spin of wheel, a decade old...

I was erased.
I meant to blow
him kisses on the wind,
but found my fingers
without end
growing miles
(nothing to tend)
trying to bring him back again...

So hard to say
goodbye to child--
innocence
gone--defiled...

Next time, I know
he'll not know me.
I long
to be good memory...
Longing for his eyes
enthralled
longing for his mind
recalled...

Remember that I held your head.
Remember I loved you instead.
Remember? Please have memory.
Remember, please remember me.

*inspired by a special lady, and her incredible capacity of heart*

Very nice,
As I was recently told,
it's special to be inspired,
And this speaks out with a special touch,
I'm sure you'll be remembered.

good god this is hauntingly beautiful sen...
is there nothing you cant write about that  dont make the reader feel and see whats happening??
this cuts and touches places deep for many reasons.
Not "erased" baby....
he may not remember the face..
but the act of kind will leave an impress on his heart and mind.

always my friend. . . always. . .

this is why you're one of my favorite poets. . . and why you continue to amaze and inspire me. . .
