how can we regret
that which we will not dare?
if the step is not taken
how can we beware?

within this lover's heart
patient in space and time
I wait quietly my dear
to read your lover's rhyme

should I never say to you
that love is what I feel
then how will I ever know
if my love is yet real

time will take it's toll
and I will go away
silent in my love
regretting what I could not say

So true, sometimes we never know unless we take that chance.  Excellent advice, Sharon.

Sometimes that regret stays with us for so long.  I know the feeling of never having said it, and wishing that I would have.  You write of this so well.  *s*

enjoyed...I suppose it would be worth a risk to see if your love was desired...for love should go where it is desired...James

Good poem..made me think of aspects of my own life. Soemtimes we think we're so strong and daring....except when it comes to love. Then the walls come up and we will risk nothing...in order to regret nothing. Then we regret not having taken the chance. Good write, made me ponder

Sharon,

It's sometimes harder not to say the things we want to say, than to say them.

Then the time comes and we do not get the chance to say what we wanted to say.

If you get a chance, read some of my earlier posts, I can definately relate.

My advise - risk it if its worth it.
