Here, Now, Forever

Many times I've died before
I was able to watch the sunrise today.

Breathing midnight grass.
Beside a shimmering lake.
Here and there we were.

Tossing our pebbles.
Laughter. Smiles. Joy.
Hurling our skipping stones.

The moon did glow in our eyes.
We loved each other.

The night and moon, sat in the sky,
Watched over the gently breathing grass,
The sky was so clear.
And the lake stood still save the ripples of our pebbles and skipping stones.

Long, long after, the universe breathed in again,
Exhaled...
And here we weren't this night.
The night and moon sat in the sky
but couldn't watch over the grass this time,
For the clouds hid the night's face,
Unleashing the cold, cold rain....
The lashing cold breeze blew the night's tears.
Forming ripples of thier own..
Upon this lake of ours.
Where we never came to play.

Inhaled and exhaled the universe again did..
And here by the lake we rest again..
Hurling our skipping stones.

Breathing midnight grass.
Beside a shimmering lake.
Here and there we were.

Tossing our pebbles.
Laughter. Smiles. Joy.
Hurling our skipping stones.

To do it right..
This time around...
We love each other.

The warm, white moonlight surfed the ripples,
in our lake, this night.
an eternal amount of times.

The moon did watch every single advancing, slowly fading ripple in all of thier convievable entireties.

varying shades,
ripples in
in this world,
that had and will have varied and differed with each course we took and will take.

Each pebble of faith we unleashed into the mysterious, shining expanse.

Many times I've died before
I was able to watch the sunrise today.

Love is God. Love is war. Love is what your life is for.

thanks sea.
I was wondering..
do you think this poem could use more emphasis on the story of the kids by the lake?.. and perhaps it should rhyme..
I belive this is merely an infant version of what this poem will one day become. Thank you for enjoying it.
