Listening to every heart

0 posted 2001-11-29 01:25 PM

If you have touched but one life
took away pain, sorrow, strife
infused some love, hope and light
made all that's serious become all right

If you have given but one song
of cheering, winsome melody
I would know that you belong
as you sing them to all of we

If you have given but one hope
and with your words provided cope
having lifted one with your song
having touched a life gone wrong

then may your blessings be complete
and may you live long in your poetry

BRAVO!!!
If I had to list all the poets who have cheered me up and made my day brighter, you'd have to grant me a whole new thread of blue. This is a wonderfully true write, Karilea. Thanks to all of the passionate poets who help me keep my head above water or out of the trash can every single day.

Kari darling sister of my soul, have you? Mmmmmmm you know you do.

Your words like the fresh spring rain falls gently on the souls of weary and tired readers. They uplift and invigorate, they drop into silent moments when the souls contemplate their fate. They bring a hint of the summer sun, and the winds of change.

Do you bring sunshine Kari darling sister of my soul, YES YES YES

Love and warm stuff
as always

Ah Karilea, well said and oh so true!
YOU always manage to bring a smile to my face.  But, all the poets here are wonderful caring people who make this world a little bit brighter.

Karilea - May I say this is a beautiful poem of inspiration.  I love it so much, I am (almost) reluctant to add a verse just for me...  heh

And if you have kicked but one cat,
Or with your car you've made one flat,
Then you will have done nothing wrong,
In the eyes of old Long John.

But, perhaps you will turn this old salt
Away from his kitty-kicker fault
Into a life that's kinder (I fear)
Much like that of Balladeer's.

Yes, yes they do. And I'll testify!!!

Smiling, Karilea, not enough can be written about the compassion and comfort PiP has to offer. I humbly take this opportunity to thank you, and EVERYONE.

A sweet song it is... Passions does touch a heart or two, doesn't it... and Sunshine smiles upon the whole, making everyone's days a little brighter... even LongJohn's...

You have spread a lot of Sunshine, always. As many have here. I think I would be in much worse shape without all of you.
