If you have touched but one life took away pain, sorrow, strife infused some love, hope and light made all that's serious become all right If you have given but one song of cheering, winsome melody I would know that you belong as you sing them to all of we If you have given but one hope and with your words provided cope having lifted one with your song having touched a life gone wrong then may your blessings be complete and may you live long in your poetry 22 August 2000 ©Karilea Rilling Jungel revised 29 November 2001 |

Karilea - May I say this is a beautiful poem of inspiration. I love it so much, I am (almost) reluctant to add a verse just for me... heh And if you have kicked but one cat, Or with your car you've made one flat, Then you will have done nothing wrong, In the eyes of old Long John. But, perhaps you will turn this old salt Away from his kitty-kicker fault Into a life that's kinder (I fear) Much like that of Balladeer's. |
