Listening to every heart

0 posted 2001-11-29 10:48 AM

                        She is a kindred spirit
                        she flies

                        and deep within her soul
                        she cries

so may I reach across
the barrier of land
may I reach across
gently take your hand

come walk with me
talk with me
lift my spirits as you
do so easily

for I've come to treasure
every whim of you
and smile of you
and in memory
I glide with you
in dreams that make up we

come stand with me
in this dream of light
here on the porch
of ever-right
and sit in this rocker
alongside of me
and sip a glass
of sun-made tea

and I shall sit here
at your feet
and you may braid words
as you comb my hair
for when you're done
then I will share
the same with you
as we do
back and forth
and forth again

this small bit of
passion
our words we come
to share

it is all I ever seek
I'm so glad you're here.

Wrote this a year ago for a friend, who finds herself with more to do than anyone I know.  Time for a repost.  Warm hugs to you, Kit...

Oh Karilea ... thank you soooooo much for this!

If it is even possible ... this is even more beautiful and heartwarming to me a year later. I popped on, only for a minute or two for a wee break in the day, and here you are my friend, sending me sunshiney dreams and wishes. Oh how I needed this today ... thank you for thinking of me, and sharing such warm memories with me again. I'm so very lucky to know you.

Best wishes and big, big {{{hugs}}}
/Kit

Yes..a poetically perfect tribute to our cadence queen Kit....

She weaves smiles in her rhymes...
Sun braids rays of warm with her poetic-shines

Such a coincidence...I said those same things to Kit yesterday! Everything was the same...except for the words

Kit is indeed awesome...as you are, Sunshine

Kit, you're amazing - and Sunshine says it eloquently... Sunshine, you too are an eternal ray of light - a beacon that shows our poets the way... hm... there's a poem there...

I am humbled in her presence
With life lessons penned with cadence

You’ve honored a great poet with your own wonderful poem.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for so many lovely comments, and thank you again Karilea. I don't know if I can explain how timely this was for me, other than to say that God works in mysterious ways my friend. This has lifted up some pretty down spirits on my end. Many hugs to all.

Best wishes,
/Kit
