             Crow

Slow Wakes The Blissfull Morning Sleep
Of Creatures In The Forest Deep
Aurora Rays Of Sunlight Flares
Do Seek To Warm The Chill Night Airs
To Beck And Tantalize Its Creatures
To Play The Hide And Seek Of Features
Dreamed In Faith The Night Before
That Day Revealed They Might Explore
The Magic Of The Carpet Spread
A Banquet Manna To Be Fed

The Innocence Of Creature Habbit
The Munching Meditative Rabbit
The Toad To Gnat Its Tongue Unfurl
The Fretsome Antic Of The Squirrel
Enjoy The Order Of The Day
Continue Sovereign Dream---But Nay!!!
That Noisome Creature Feathered Black
Does Seek To Peace And Quiet Crack
With Voice Both Sharp And Raucus Shrill
Distrust And Fear Their Bellies Fill

Dark Sentinel Of The Highland Branches
Stark Bugler Of The Cawl That Blanches
See Thee Predator's Imminent Creep?
Or Trivial Tresspass Far And Deep?
What Moves Thee Then To Spoil This Morning?
What Purpose Then Thy Watch And Warning?

Oh my gosh...you painted this scene so perfectly I could not only see it but hear it as well. Then the serenity of it all was shattered but the crow's shrill call. BRAVO!!!! I love it because the scene transported me to an early morning watching the beauty of nature all around. I love those kind of mornings. **big hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Joe--I love this one..your word choice, thyme and rhythm are delightful.

"What Moves Thee Then To Spoil This Morning?
What Purpose Then Thy Watch And Warning?"

I live in a neighborhood where crows quarrel constantly and have wondered the same, but not as beautifully.

Every morning they air their assault in their insistence on being heard. Enjoyed

LOL at your noisey crows, Joe. They rival my raven's raucous rowdiness. This is a fun, magical piece of POE-etry.
Now what about a mystical magical merry mermaid???  You could add a pix of your sculpture.   Just a thought.
