Between the Lines

Soft Reminders

This night I soak in thoughts of you
warmth overriding the fears of the morn,
mind no longer pushing buttons,
no longer doubting the truth of words.

This imprisoned heart, needs no pardon,
holds custody of only one,
having tasted your lips of love.
Lying back, your shadow
guards me, towering over me.
I feel the mystery of you joining me in float,
your lore, too tempting at times,
causing a rise in temperature.

I labor in thought,
droplets trickling down my forehead,
working myself up into a lather over you.
I take you in eagerly,
immersed in the awe of you, knowing
that I will bathe in you
with forever thoughts this night,
and come morn,
will feel the cleansing of a new day...
and soft reminders of you, once again.
