Beat the drums
twirl in time
lift your spirit
sing your rhyme

Eyes turn upward
hearts in wings keep
LOVE moving forward
blessings to reap

Put down the arrows
follow the sparrows
search for the seeds
of the truth in deeds

Cast away fear
the way is clear
follow the bright light
that shines at night

Hands that touch
faces of LOVE
keep eyes open
on the dove

Know that since
dawn of time
LOVE enfolds
all sublime.

May the ripple of LOVE
become the wave of PEACE

Doreen, I am delighted that you like this. Part of it was written with you in mind.

Streen, thank you so much! It is simple, but I went for a simple rhyme scheme and 'clean' thoughts.

Dor, I started this right after reading several of your poems in one sitting. The rhythm just came to me, and the words fell in place with only three or four minor adjustments, start to finish. And the stanza that begins 'Put down the arrows'? they came straight from your heart. ZING ZING ZING

Tracey, thank you so much. I really like the flow of this one myself. The syllable rhyming scheme is really simple, and helped me tighten up the lines by staying in a pattern...kind of like a mini-musical score? LOL, not exactly, but a parallel idea.

3,3,4,3 then 4,4,5,4
5,5,6,5 then 4,4,5,4
3,3,4,3 and again 3,3,4,3
Now maybe I need to go back and read it out loud again, to see if it stays within this pattern!? LOL. I didn't preview/proof before posting.
OOPS. I just went back and counted, and realized I left out the words 'the peaceful' in one line. It was supposed to read:
"search for the peaceful seeds
of truth in deeds"
I'm going to leave it as is though. I'm still a beginner at this, and it's OK to experiment.
