Moonlight Reverie

Moon shines down through spiral of clouds
Creating a tunnel effect, pulling
Her heart he strokes
As the gentle rays coax

Into this night, this biting cold
She breathes frost heavy air
Seductively, he holds her there
Bathing her in false warmth

Thankfully, not yet full
This night, it would be too much
She would give in to his cries,
His soft lunar sighs

With heavy feet, distraught mind
Struggling against inner tides
She turns self, hides
Refusing his plea

Glimmering he waits
Knowing soon she will succumb
When at last he rounds with radiance
She will honor him in reverence

Your writing is truly amazing and you only seem to get better and better with each new poem you write.  I love this, sweetie, and it goes in my library.   (((hugs)))
