Gentle Night, Inspire

Come, gentle night, entreat visionary sword
as once more, sweet night, softer words accord
’tween rain of yesterday, before morrow’s sun
come, gentle night, release dreams just begun...

to walk among the winter’s whiter scape
rhinestones blanketing evergreen’s drape
gentle night shed this gloom, leave me quiet
as dreaming alone seeks soul’s sweet riot

ah, gentle night, what dreams may yet implore
to allow me tread yon halls to darkened door
as curtained thoughts still veil my sense
what payment seeks thee in recompense

when one sorely needs Inspire, so dearly paid
at any cost! quickly, before evening fades
find pen! parchment! pray swift comes the muse
gentle night, slumbering, still slightly enthused

before me, blankest sheet, to be scratched by quill
gentle night, shivering, Inspire touched by Will

Someone is inspired! This is really beautiful. I can picture you with quill in hand, "willing" the words to "blankest sheet" and dropping sparkling poetic diamonds all over the page, with a magical flick of a wrist.
Very inspiring!

this inspiration brought out the "lovely" in your words..and one could take some of it in different meaning..as your inspire of Will reminded me of our Wilfred Yeats..and how inspiring he was, also.

Thank you, Karilea.
