Without You

I sit here wondering what to do
Living my days without you.

For as the time, it passes by,
Thoughts, that it was all just a lie.

The heart that I thought I had gave,
Put into the bottle and into the grave.

Trying to mend the things from the past,
Just want to make the loving last.

For a different person over years I became,
Pushing you far away, man I was lame.

Try to mend the things that I have done,
Hoping you wait and you will not run.

For all I can do is try my best,
I know, every day this you will test.

Once in your life, you gave me your time,
Just want our hearts to once again chime.

I was once told that nothing in life was definite, absolute. Even though I've been hurt by this simple phrase once, I sometimes think this is true. As long as she has not finally given up hope on you, there's still time for you to make amends. If your love for her is deep, let her know that you still care, and I do hope that she'll see the good and learn to trust again.

This is very touching, and weel written. I am all for giving the heart another chance, even when it seems as though there is no reason. No matter how bad someone ever hurts you, or how bad you hurt them, some time and distance can heal anything. Two hearts that once found each other and completed each other can always do so again. *SMILE*

Love can heal much, and after reading your words it is clear that you love enough to try and make up for all the errors made. My heart goes out to you for when the healing is done the love between you both will be stronger than it ever was before. Beautiful, heartfelt poem. **hugs** All you can do is your best.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Wonderful Bernie! You've captured the regret of the past and the desire to rekindle what was lost beautifully in this piece. Very emotive, much enjoyed!

Best wishes,
/Kit
