The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2001-11-27 11:05 AM

Yes, this is my soliloquy
composed of dreams and fantasy
shattered into pure illusion
finding love is just delusion.

I gazed in vain for unseen knight
his true desire-absolve my plight
consistent disappointment thus
as knights of steel erode to rust.

Yes, this is what I have become
through love and loss and nothing won
Tis time to move through shuttered doors
as surely there is something more.

To touch new dreams in quiet hope
to ride the upside of this slope
no need for knights in light of day
their use has crumbled in the fray.

So chapter, verse, and movng on
accepting that my love is gone
Pale moonlight covers me alone
I step into the great unknown.

I took a walk around the world to ease my troubled mind-I left my body lying somewhere in the sands of time. (3 Doors Down)

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Sandra, this is so so sad but I know there is something more for you, and will accept it with bliss and hold your true prince forever! (sigh) I love you, sweet friend!!! (kiss on cheek) Your soliloquy melts all our hearts and lights the skies with fairy tales bound to come true! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sandra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Sometimes, in a very strange way, when you move away from something, you are actually approaching it but from a different angle...  An expressive write, Sandra...  don't stop.

I thought the title was about me (a silly guy).  Then I read you wonderful piece and realized it was about exploration.  Welcome to the "great unknown" sometimes referred to as life

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Sandra, just remember, you never walk alone!
You write with a sense of peace here...and I like it.  It is as though you have come to a realization...and now you are ready to move on.
Hold your pretty head up high and face the world with a bright new smile sweetie.
Love and hugs, Nancy

A wonderful touching and expressive write....
It has touched my heart in so many ways with its melancholic voice...

it's beautiful in form and structure but more important I sense a deep respect from the author for herself and her own beauty.  Well done.

Stepping into the great unknown is the only way to live life and there you are bound to find your way to the happiness that you above anyone else deserve.  Beautiful writing and nice to see you in the mood for a challenge in life.  See you at the top.

I have read you in so many stages of expression Sandra. I know exactly which one you are in and know you have to get to that point by your own decision...welcome to the threshold of discovery. I hope you find yourself as exquisite as you've always been to the rest of us! Big Hugs!

Sincerely,
Regina

The great unknown is only a scary place, until you get there and get used to it. Fantastic write Sandra.

cat,

But everything else is there, you see
and you are as prepared as you can be
It is not into the abyss you are thrown
but merely the darkness before the morn.

lil sis, when you step into the Great Unknown, you will find most of your poetic friends here, including myself, waiting there to take your hand!!  This had sad overtones, but ended with a decisive and positive thought!!  Loved it!!

...you are me, I am you, we are one...

There are still knights, damsels in distress and dragons to kill in this world, they are just in disguise. I found your words very moving, stepping out into the unknown can be a wonderous thing. Be well.

Regards,
Olias.
