Less Than Strangers
By: Noah Eaton
11/27/01

You and me
Are only a heartbeat in-between
We used to be close together
All that's changed now
I wouldn't dream
Of changing anything
How could we all be
Less than strangers?

How I wish
I can get to know many of you so better
For moments you can hear me
All that changes
I'm no star or angel or miracle to you
You just see me as a lonely boy beside a train
Do you see me
Less than a stranger?

If I asked you how you've been
Would you speak to me?
If I wanted to get to know you
Would you turn your back and leave?
Couldn't I just have one chance
To look into your eyes and see
That maybe we could be friends
You and me...

I try to write
But there's no one there to read
I try to talk
But there's no reason to speak
What more can I give?
To be part of the group?
Can we ever be
Something more than strangers?
If not, who am I?
Who am I?

Who are we after all...funny, I'm just discovering that "I" am the stranger in my life--lots of self reflection in that thought alone--and don't feel so weird, Noah...I often feel that there is no one stranger than me. grin...

but truly, finding out who we are through the mirrors of others is part of what it's all about I think. Hugs to you, with love and light that you share so generously with us all!

Noah, I hear you, and you are  much more than a stranger to me, if that matters.
I think life is a neverending attempt to understand ourselves. You have many beautiful insights already, and know that you will have many more.

I will always see you as the singing sparrow who brings romance, fantasy and love to us all. Look into your mirror and see that man who you have become and love him for he is dear to so many of us. **hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

OK, Noah. Since you are in my livingroom almost everyday, what do you mean, you are less than a stranger??????
Well written angst aside, you are no stranger.....than any of the rest of us.
Feel better now?
