if you
     were to stand before me
would i know you
          by your eyes
would your soul shine through
               your bodily disguise...

who
     are you
with your flesh zipped tightly about you
would i know you
by the aura that surrounds you...

what form of man
might enclose the soul i know
who would i
          find
if your face
     to me did show...

would your soul
     shine through
a putty and water disguise
if you
          were to stand before me
would i know you
               by your eyes...

Oh, I would hope so.  Besides, I'm lousy at disguise!

Nice write, dg.  I like it.

beautifully done..I think the eyes say so much...I can usually tell by the eyes what one is thinking...they can not disguise true feelings *s

Ah, the eyes are the windows to the soul. So, yes, I think you would know him by his eyes

the big red maple leaf painted on my forhead might give me away.

But, you never know cause I often look in the mirror and ask who is that guy.

Great write sweets.

I like the flow of this poem, and the feeling left behind is good as well. I do wonder if I'll know him if he comes in a different package.
