for all the empty chairs
light a candle
for all the memories
render a smile

for the tender touches
gone
come together in hug
and bond

for promises made
and stolen
hold on to the love
they held

hold a hand of the aching
with passion clench a heart
move one step forward
until you fill the march

whisper messages
that arm the soul
of the failing and weakened
child

in prayer, heal the masses,
as you cling
in holiday’s style

as this world
shares the moments
commemorating
Christ Child’s birth

allow these
moments of blessing
to bring
glorious peace on earth
