The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2001-11-26 08:05 AM

Just one moment in time
and a love filled with awe
silver goblets of wine
only hearts that we saw.

Such a moment so sweet
underneath glowing moon
made our life so complete
yet it left all too soon.

Just one moment alone
yet feels like ten thousand
absence stays unatoned
no longer beside him.

Relive just one moment,
this my unfulfilled dream
but not quite as it went
Things were not as they seemed.

Goodbye to the moment
and goodbye, memories
On the winds he was sent
and they've blown him from me.

A moment lost in time
too late now to restore
I was his, he was mine
but then gone as before.

His love fabricated
made of secrets and lies
heart broken by hatred
repititious goodbyes.

I took a walk around the world to ease my troubled mind-I left my body lying somewhere in the sands of time. (3 Doors Down)

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Sandra, I know just how you feel, for in my dreams I feel I'm only in love momentary, but I wake up saddened to see I have no love in my arms. (big hugggsssssss) Your heart breaks in this sad poem, but I believe with all my heart you will love again and will keep it forever, and this sadness will only be momentary when happiness comes to you. (sigh) My heart is always with you, sweet friend! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sandra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Oh, I like Kathleens reply to this. Yes, the future where anything is possible. I think that may be one of the dreamiest, yet wisest things I will read tonight. Your poem is lovely Sandra, and speaks from the heart of past pain...but yes, dream of the future and all that it can be.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Seems to me life is full of steps. Especially numerous and large for many are the steps we climb emotionally. In fact, I think in our lives on the physical plane, the biggest task we face is learning to control our emotions -  love, hate, anger, saddness, happiness, and I think the biggest task of all, is LOVE - learning TO LOVE; meaning, no matter what our experience with it, i.e., long-lasting, short-term, abrupt, wonderful, ugly and all the other adjectives one could use, LOVE is what it's all about. Handling it, coming to terms with it, and always, ALWAYS feeling it, is the biggest task we have before us - and all the things that happen to us in the process is just another step up in the attainment of the "perfect" love of Christ.

I think love between two people is the most beautiful love of all that we deal with - and I believe if one learns to live with the loss of anothers affections, and uses the experience as a growth medium, adding it to the basket of memories we carry, and relishing what was there as we move on (not that it doesn't hurt - I understand the pain involved (been there done that!); and it's how we move on that counts - one climbs two or three steps up the stairs, not just one or less.

Anyway - just a wee look into some of the things I toss around, tend to lean towards and try to live by.

Enjoyed your write, my friend - I can't catch fish worth a hoot, but every once-in-awhile I land one that makes me bait the hook again.  Know what I mean.

say goodbye my dear
say it only once again
with finality

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.
