In sleepless nights
she enters in
the enchanted world
of fantasy dreams
yet all alone
with tears in flow
that rest upon
her beating chest
she lingers in
remembering when
love was kind
to her...

This place known
in dreams to her
where she has found
herself some peace
without pretense
or fist of fear
just faith that life
will treat her fair
when one day
she will
touch upon
the hand
of understand
releasing her
in flight
to soar
trusting
her heart
to love
once more...

Yes it does seems to require trust...I always wonder if it is real...or just something I am creating in my mind that will soon all fall apart...James

I felt such incredible sorrow in this poem - as I felt it spoke the dreams of every woman held in a bad relationship through either fear, or jealousy. (well this is what I read from it), and the best part, and one I certainly could identify with, was the choice one finally makes for themself which I read from these lines that I loved (as the hand of understand is the key to freedom)~

when one day
she will
touch upon
the hand
of understand
releasing her
in flight
to soar

Coco - fantastic poem, can you tell I loved it?

Sweet Coco, may you find this happiness you seek. Lovely poetry here.

Ahhh yes, trust and then finding the strength in yourself to accept that you do deserve to hold the happiness as we all do.
Beautiful piece here my friend and as always, I find the smoothness of your cadence so very pleasing when I read your works.  Excellent writing all the way around.

I especially like:

without pretense
or fist of fear

There are some prepositions that could be removed to fine tune this, but it has a lovely message.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Simple lovely my friend - and nice to "see you too". Though about putting my mug up there but it would probably empty the place so think I'll stick to words...much nicer.
Again, my friend, really enjoyed this piece.

This really brought a tear to my eye. Very touching. It can be difficult to let yourself love again, but I have found that is is worth it. *BIG SMILE* I hope you find your happiness, too.

This is a lovely piece. Speaks of past sorrows, but still with hope for a new love to wash away the past hurts. I like this a lot.

I felt a positive sense of direction in this, in spite of some past sadness that bleeds through. Keep dreaming of a fair future:
